54 olds brakes

hi guys ,on the rear brakes on a 1954 olds ,does the larger shoe go toward the rear of the car and the smaller one go toward the front , thanks

That's true for pretty much all self-energizing drum brakes. Since the rotation of the drum pulls the leading edge of the front shoe into the drum, a smaller lining is required.
