Modifying Drum Spindles for Discs?

I am going to invest in a disc conversion kit for my '68 Cutlass Supreme. I do not want to spend the extra money on new spindles as I believe there is only a minor difference between the two. Anyone know the difference between the two? I believe its just a simple drilling and taping one bolt hole bigger. Anyone out there know for sure. Luckily I am the manager of a machine shop so I have all the right tools to do the job as long as I know what to modify. Please help!

Do a search on that topic. I know I read a post from Joe describing the difference and what it takes to use disc on drum spindles. John

Also check out Joe's Tech. Desk posting regarding low cost disc brake conversions. It has a lot of good info. Jim
