51 Super 88 stone guards and sash trim

I have a 51 Super 88 4 dr. that has all the side trim shaved. I really like the original looks and have collected some of the original parts.

I think most of it will be straight forward except the stone guards and sash.
I see square flat tabs on the stone guards in the lip edge. The stripped doors I have seen have rounds holes for both pieces. Is there a large mounting plate that attach's to the stone guards or several small ones? Do I need to come up with an alternate way to mount them?

Any help would be appreciated.
