Steel under oai hood, worth the price?

I am planning to install a new oai hood on my 1970. Is the oai hood with steel bracing worth the price difference?

I bought a nice original 8 years ago for $900.

Probably worth 3-4X that now.

worth ?

hard to say...depends on you and how you want your car to look.

Will you have the complete, correct OAI air cleaner set up ? Are there other non-correct things on the car (cragars, headers, etc.) ?

And for anything you put on (correct repro or cheaper variety), will you need to repaint the rest of the car to get the hood to match well ?

To me it wouldn't be worth it to spend a lot of extra money on any hood that isn't consistent with the level of correctness on the rest of the car.

I think he was weighing the option between the all glass one and the steel framed one.
