Just need to announce to the world, I got my engine going this morning! WOOT! It still needs to be tuned-in, but it started up (second try) and ran steady for several minutes.
It needed a carb rebuild (78 rochester quadrajet). I wasn't going to tackle it until I talked to some guys on here and they suggested i give it a try. Thanks to Everyone! P.S. I'll try and post some before and after pictures of the carb tonight.

Its a good feeling, congratulations, and im glad your having luck with your Q-Jet, the one i ordered rebuilt from holley ended up being a pile, looks like now i might be going with a 650 double pumper.

Me stating while glaring enviously at the monitor, "I wish I could be starting up my 455 soon". As I mentioned before, I have got to get my butt into gear and finish this project up! Good job and best of luck.
