Engine paint Colors
Just what is the proper engine color for a 394 Low compression 2 barrel.
Looks like turquoise. Where can it be purchased. Pat |

Oldsmobile called that color green, but it is a different green than they used on the early Rocket engines. This question comes up from time to time and at this time there is no known source for that shade of green.

Easy ( if you arent anal like some people here who must have the correct 'shade' of color) ... Try Fusick or Bill Hirsch

You can always take a scraping of the old paint to sherwin williams or Epco paint, and have them run it under the "eye" Try to make it the size of a dime if possible. I don't know if either have high temperature paints though.
