as I am currently having my engine rebuilt, i was wondering what could i do reasonably to get more out of my engine while it is out the body.... i was think about stroking my 425...but i dont really know how much the laber would be and how much additional parts and or kits that i would have to buy... yall I am new to the game, still, so dropp some knowledge if you can.

The easy way to stroke a 425 is to drop in the crank, rods, and pistons from a 455. The bore is the same on both and the reciprocating parts all swap. You must use the 455 rods and pistons with the 455 crank due to differences in rod length and piston compression height. Any other stroker work requires very expensive custom crank, rods, and pistons.

Of course, if you swap the 455 parts, it's probably cheaper to just drop in a complete 455. This eliminates any issues over cam bank angle, lifter diameter, etc.
