Yes it would. Externally it's the same as a 455 so if you use the correct motor mounts and exhaust manifolds it should fit just fine. John

First, simply use the motor and frame mounts already in the car. If you buy 455 motor mounts, you'll need to change the frame mounts to match. If you keep the 350 mounts, the motor will bolt in with the 350 frame mounts. Olds motor and frame mounts are dimensionally equivalent if you use them in matched sets, but don't mix and match - they won't fit.

If the trans is out of the same full size car as the 425, it will almost certainly be a long tailshaft TH400. It will fit in an A-body but will require a custom shorter driveshaft. Your current crossmember works fine.

Personal preference, the 425 was never put in the Cutlass/442 line but only used in full sized cars. They do have a forged steel crank which is stronger than cast iron, and a shorter stroke than the 455. Bolt on parts will interchange, like heads, intake and exhaust manifolds, but internal parts such as lifters and pistons are harder to find for the 425. The 455 was made for more years and is a newer engine. I like them both, and if you find a good deal on one or the other I would take it. That's my 2 cents worth.
