Oil restrictors for my 455

I have 455 I am rebuilding. I over reved and starved engine of oil on last build. I want to install oil restrictors and crack scrapper and anything else that will keep oil below where it belongs. I have seen Jegs and Summitracing have restrictors, so I may go with them. Just look ing for direction and ideas.

Also considering a new rotating assemble. Who is selling them. My crank has been turned .030 and I do not think it can be turned anymore.

Engine specs.
455 .030 TRW flat top pistons
Edelbrock Performer intake and 750 Edelbrock Carb.
Mallory Unilite distributor
Comp Cam magnum cam Duration 292 Lift .518 Lode angle 110 degrees
2800 - 300 stall in a 350 automatic
3.91 Gear. I will be going to 3.42. (Looking to trade if anyone is interested)

Well, a lot of different opinions on his subject. I have a couple engines with restrictors and a couple without. The Fellow with he best restrictors I have seen, I have them in an engine I am putting into my race car next, is Smitty at M&J performance, 330-875-8096. He will sell u a "kit", his are screw in and come with the tap, so you can locktight them, Others are "push-in." Get a "big" oil pan, 7/8 Qt. I use an 8qt with 6 & 1/2 Qts in it. I use a "stock" pump. High volume just robs H.P. As long as u don't run the pan dry your engine will live. I have seen this happen 5 times. Stock pan, HV pump, 3:73 or better gears= spun bearings. Stock pan (at dip-stick full level) stock pump, usually the engine will live but if over 4:xx gear will + sun bearings. The restrictors are just part of the fix, the larger oil pan is sooo important. Ken
