i have a 70 cutlass supreme, i need to do a valve adjustment on it, could you tell me if it requiares any gap?.

Oldsmobile valves do not have adjustable rockers in stock form. Is your valve train noisy?

yes it is it rattles, when i step on the gas or going up hill.

What you ar hearing is detonation or ignition ping.
It is not the valves. Use a higher octane gasoline and or retard the ignition timing a degree or two.
