ISnt that the rear end of the conept car they built on the corvette chassis?

No, '56s didn't have that reflector under the tail light, and the backup light was in a bit more of a tube than this one. Also, '54s did have the reflector, the the tail lights were completely round. They weren't scalloped out on the sides like '55s were.

Not a concept car - stock 88 or Super 88. Not a 98 - those aren't '55 98 tail lights.
