Quadrajet Vacuum Ports ??
Just received my new quadrajet.
it's model 7043250 which i'm told is 1973 and from a 350 ?? Before I attempt the job, can anyone please indicate what the ports are and what goes where? I took photo's but haven't got a USB cable to hand so have numbered the ports in question on this diagram i found on google. I'm guessing number 2 is for EG valve ?? There are also 2 ports at the rear of the carb near the top, one is bigger than the other (6 and 7, with 6 being largest).

#1 i believe goes to the pull off right above it.
#2 PCV on valve cover #3 probably go to the vacuum switch in the water port on the front of the intake manifold. #4 distributor vacuum advance #5 is a vent that you don't mess with #6 and #7 are just for filtered air and have no vacuum on them. one will go to the choke thermostat. the other will probably go to a vacuum switch that screws into the water port on the front of the intake manifold. i am no expert but think this is correct. i am sure that someone else will correct me if i am wrong.

great thanks.
not sure about number 1 as there is already a hose connecting the diaphragm to a port?? i currently have an edelbrock performer intake with edelbrock carb and when i set that up all i had was a vacuum line from the trans and one from the distributor. Where would i put the transmission? and if the others are unused, should i simply block them off?

the transmission line can go to any manifold port. it don't go to the carb. it can go to the carb as long as it is not ported vacuum. (the vacuum port has to be under the throttle blades)
