Question Rod bearing sizes for 455?

My crank measures 2.498 - 2.4985 for the rod journals. The service manual says 2.4988 to 2.4998 for the journal diameter.

Since I am slightly out of that range I should use .001 undersize bearings to compensate? Correct?

I appreciate your help. Tom.

Well, I measured the bearing clearances with Plasti-gage and they were all betweeen 0.0015 and 0.002, so I'm going to use what I have (standard bearings, not .001 undersize) since they are all within spec. (0.0004 - 0.0033" per the service manual).

You are doing the right thing by using the standard bearings!
