Hi folks, doing the head gaskets on my 59 Olds 98 Convertible and the heads need a skim.
Any know what the maximum safe amount i can skim off the heads is. |

You can take off just enough to clean them up. Or you can take as much as you want to raise the compression. .100 is about the most you want to take off. .030 to .040 will do the job without intake fit problems.
