Just purchased this Oldsmobile yesterday. Its simply beautiful....near mint condition. However, the PO said he was junking it because someone put in a 'racing' cam...taking away all vaccum. Now, I understand this can happen...but, in this car, the brakes DID build vaccum in a minute or two.

First, how can I tell what engine this is--it replaced the orginal 455.

Second, will a vaccum reserve solve the problem? Could it be just the brake booster? Thanks All!
