New to the site...
Hello everyone,
I've been looking for an oldsmobile site now and finally found one. I have a 95 Aurora and it's my first Olds. I am a major GM freak and love these cars. I traded an 84 Monte Carlo for it and thus far I must say is a great car. It has minor issues which at a quarter million miles I would expect. But if anyone has any advise on maintaining or even upgrading these cars let me know. Thanks |

My 95 Aurora that Isold , Saturday, May 17,2008 had 166,000 on it(the peroius owner(from 1997-2007), flushed the tranny ever year(or so Carl claimed).
In Sept or Oct of this year(2008), I was driving up the coast, and decided to vist the folks who bought my old Olds. Even so Jim, just flushed the tranny again(twice in a year), and the trany still slipped when it heats up. These folks already have a spare Aurora tranny. A trans job in an Aurora will cost $2000-$2500 |

I own a 96 with 198,000 miles. A few well known issues:
Headlight switch - When it fails your lights will blink. Transmission - Shift solenoids, and Input Speed Sensor. Gas Tank - Fuel pump retaining ring know to rot. Love the car none the less. Im lucky that i dont have to pay someone to fix it.
