Need some advise on whether to keep this transmission or not

Since I'm new to the forum and have never owned and Olds before, I hope you will bear with me. I bought a '68 Cutlass that has a rebuilt transmission, but its a two speed of some sort. I thought they all came with either a TH350or a TH 400. Anyway the transmission was completely rebuilt about 4K miles ago so its fresh, but I know nothing about this type transmission. I'm wondering if I should be concerned about it. It will be mostly driven on trips and I don't expect a lot of hard service, but I have driven 50's Chevys with Powerglides and when I bought a Chevy I replaced the Powerglide with a
700R4 and never looked back. I will admit that I will " stand on it " occasionally, but not on a regular basis. I'm getting ready to take a several thousand mile trip in this Olds next May, so I'm wondering if I should be concerned about the trans holding up. The engine in this Olds was also rebuilt and is now about 350hp. It is a convertable.
Is there anyone in the Chicago ( actually Volo ) Ill. area that might be able to make a swap if I need it ?
Thanks in advance
Tom
