Pre-made exhaust headpipes (downpipes)???

Does anybody still make/sell Pre-made stock exhaust headpipes?
(From the manifolds down & back to the muffs)

Like the parts stores used to sell?

I don't need anything special- but I don't really want to hassle with a muffler shop trying to sell me stuff i don't need- just want some stock pipes to replace my rusty ones.

My mufflers and tailpipes are in great shape, just the head pipes are toast.

Thanks-
Ben

To my knowledge, they make the best repoduction OE exhaust for musclecars.
Not cheap, but I don't see why they wouldn't just sell you the headpipes.

Good luck!

Rambow,

I can't answer your question but I can give you the name of a Muffler shop they will give you a fair price and not sell you more then you need. They did a great job on my 57 Olds exhaust system

Gardner is the best reproduction if you care about being factory correct. Pypes Exhaust sells Olds-specific head pipe extensions but these are only intended to run from the manifold flanges to their X-pipe exhaust system (which is actually designed to mate to header collectors). The X-pipe is a nice addition, however.

To add onto what's been said about Gardner, the great thing about the Gardner system is that it requires absolutely no welding, cutting, or bending. They're built EXACT to factory specs. And, they're an excellent company that really cares about the satisfaction of your purchase. Truly a stand-up company.

Try a different muffler shop.

Walt Vallelunga waltvallelunga@yahoo.com has front pipes which are 2.25 OD aluminized for $150 plus S&H.
Correct for '66-'67 400s (442s), not sure if they are the same for 330s, you can ask him.

I know this is an older thread. Is Walt Vallelunga still making the front pipes? I appreciate it DM
