I am looking to buy a 70 442 conv, partial vin 342670M2401. It has the 442 grill work, hood, and front fender tip trim, and deck lid markings. It has a wing, dual exhaust, and a column shift automatic. VIN says it is a supreme. One web site says there is a W30 and W32 option that put an automatic into a 442. Another web site said that the factory built 442s on the fly once a car was on the line to fill an order.

I know I need the build sheet to know for sure, but, can a 342 code be a true 442???
