Guys, I am having a problem with my front seats. I just installed new carpet,and had seats recovered. The problem I have is that it seems that my seats are too close to my seat belts. The seatbelts near the sill plates are rubbing againt the seat bottom. I see that there are two holes on each side of the seat frame up front. If I move the seat over to the inner hole it won't line up at the rear. Can someone post a pic of their seat track mounts please. Also a pic of clearance between driver's side seat belt and front seat bottom. I would also like to verify which way to move the lever for the seats to release. I am thinking my upholsterer may have made a mistake.Thanks in advance.

Sorry. It's a 1972 Cutlass convertible. It has front buckets and console.

 

Move the lever forward to release latch and slide for or aft, if the tracks are inter-changed left to right, just remove the two bolts underneath and swap sides...and that might also be the root of your problem because there should only be one hole on the front mount, two on the rear...
