Well still under the limit to post elsewhere so will post some pics and such here. My son has the 68 Toro we just went and picked up, so thought I would put up some of the other Oldsmobile vehicles we have.
The 68 is mine that I got really got it for parts for the motor home turned out it is to early Gen 1 verus Gen 2 toro, and it turned out the thing is very limited number car and then like usual for us it can't be just your usual run of the mill strange instead of cut outs in the rear bumper for the exhaust it has standard exhaust and no cornering lights.
The 77 is normal however just a Brougham but was another parts car that was just to nice to part out so still on the road.
The Revcon is my oversized Olds it is powered by a 77 Toro running gear just the 403 and front wheel drive says something when you can stick it under a 10.5k pound 30 foot motor home and put her to work.
That is our stable of Oldsmobiles doesn't start with the Chevys even and an old 12 valve Dodge around here!

I think it is quite a compliment to Oldsmobile durability and torque that so many 403s 425s and 455s found their way in other applications like your motor home and industrial use. I have heard of 455s being used as power sources for industrial pumps and generators too.

 

Yes the Olds engines are a serious source of torque monsters even the little 403 in the motor home with front wheel drive keeps the big old rig moving nicely .
Like you, I have seen the old 455 in everything from an Old F750 Ford truck to running a pump pumping water to irrigate fields, now that has been a while back!
