Yet another new (Olds) one! LOL!

New here but of course, not to Oldsmobile's.

"My" first Olds, one that I owned, was a 1977 Cutlass GCSX. That is: Greater Cleveland Special Edition.

Other Olds that I have driven was a 1973 Delta 88 and a 1979 Delta 88.

I am hoping that my wife and I can get into the Olds thing together. I've got my eye on a Toro but getting the size past her is tricky.

BTW: I don't know if anyone has seen this ad or not:

Looks pretty darn clean to me.

Take Care,
Paul

Welcome

Welcome aboard Paul

Sounds as if you had quite a fleet.

Tell me more about the greater Cleveland Special Edition.

Welcome aboard Paul, Good luck with your search. Just sneak a toro home and tell your wife it followed you home like a lost puppy

Since this was my "first" real car, I believe the only distinguishing factors on the GCSX was a badge on an aluminum band running from one side of the 1/3 vinyl roof to the other, inbetween the opera windows and the door windows. It had bucket seats but not swivel, a 350 4bbl auto, and that was about it.

Welcome. I'm a Greater Cleveland Edition too, born and bred.

A GCSX should have rust holes from the factory to represent this area correctly.

Are you in the area?

Yep! Wadsworth (extreme SE corner of Medina County)

I had to fix the drivers floorpan. I couldn't figure out why my feet kept getting wet.

I had great plans for it and got it sandblasted one day. When I picked it up I saw just how much bondo the kid who owned it had put on it. AND, as I was driving away the 77 started bucking. I pulled the air cleaner off and saw SAND on the back butterflies on the carb!!! Lord knows how much sand went into the engine BUT, after I got a newer Rochester carb it ran like a champ, until a rocker broke!!
