51 "88 Rocket" fore sale (third posting) w/pics

Okay, talk about a barn find!!!!! I was able to help the owner of the car remove LOTS of stuff so that I could get close enough to inspect and take pics of the car! It took us almost a week to clean out what we could. Anyway, the owner parked the car in the barn in 1975 or 1976 and it has sat their since. The owner states that he is the second owner of the car and that he bought it from a man in Vermont. According to the owner, the car has 64,000 original miles and has not been touched and is all original from 1951. It currently has for flat tires and has been sitting so long that I did not attempt to start it, although the owner states that it will run. I checked and the only place on the car that I could find through rust is along the lower rockers and where it joines with the floor. There is no rust on the hood, fenders, quarters, trunk roof other than surface rust. All of the chrome and emblems are still in place and the car is complete, even has the original floor mats that go over the drivers floor. The owner only wants $4000.00 for the car, which is very reasonable for its condition. The roof of the barn, which was built in 1879 is original and falling apart. The owner needs to remove the car before it falls in or before the roof is to be repaired. Time is of the essence here, the snow is going to start falling soon! If I do not receive any inquires I will have to list it on ebay...... I figured I would give the chance to own the car to someone that enjoys Oldsmobiles. I will list 4 pics, but have more. My phone number is 860-537-2040, email: morson82@sbcglobal.net, if anyone is interested.
