62 Oldsmobile Starfire

This can be restored or could be a very good parts car.It has the 394 with automatic. It has many options like power seats, power windows, power brakes, bucket seats console automatic on floor among a few others. It has alot of chrome on it and in good cond. There are many good useable parts for this kinda rare car that are not around any longer.I have had this on a few other sites with some partial interest but if there is no interest I will part it out.I am asking 1200.00 for the car and the car is in Charles City Va.

If your serious about parting with the cylinder heads, PM me. Shipping an entire engine is out of the question for me thats why I only wanted the heads.

Looking for the dual exhaust manifold for the drivers side. I'm not sure if they had in 62 but if they did it would have been on the Starfire. If you were closer to WI. I would buy the car.
Thanks
Pat

It hurts to see a car that was as great as this car once was to be in this condition. In high school, a friend of mine's mother got a brand new black one like this. With all the trim on the car, black was the best color. I thought that was one of the prettiest cars I had ever seen. Still remember it and my opinion has not changed. If you do part it out, send my a PM as to what you will want for the bucket seats. Shipping to Texas might make it prohibitive. Good luck with the car.

I have a 1962 Starfire 394 with a blown bottom end. I am putting a new engine in next week and I will be selling the good parts off of this engine. If anyone is interested in anything let me know. The engine was only supposed to have 800 miles on it but it was rebuilt 20 years ago. I ran it for about 200 miles and a rattle started in the bottom end and metal is in the number six cylinder. Also when I bought the new engine I also got a new rebuilt trans. If anyone is interested in that it will be available. I would trade the trans for a nice set of body moldings for my starfire. The allumimum sheet metal pieces. Thanks Tom

SS427 - If you are willing to ship the heads cross country, I am interested. I need the numbers found on the flat pad beneath the lower center valve cover bolt hole on the drivers side. Send me a PM. Thanks
