CHANGING YOUR OIL PAN GASKET

MY OIL PAN GASKET NEEDS CHANGING BECAUSE OF OIL ROLLING ALONG THE BOTTOM OF IT.I NEED TO KNOW HOW EASY IT IS.I WAS TOLD THAT INSIDE THE OIL PAN THERE IS A TUBE THAT DIPS DOWN INSIDE AND CONNECTS TO SOMETHING.IF SO IS IT EASY TO CHANGE GASKET ANDHOW WOULD I DEAL WITH THE SUPPOSEINGLY TUBE IF THERES ONE.PLEASE TELL ME HOW.NOONE LIKES A LEAKING OIL PAN.BESIDES I NEED TO BANG OUT THE BOTTOM DENT IN MY PAN.

as far as changing your gasket, it is pretty simple to do it shouldnt take more than a few hours. however the little tube is your oil pickup screen. i dont know how much clearance you have between your pan and your cross member, but i had to tilt the motor to one side so i could clear the crank and get the pan out.this is one of those times when you DO NOT want to use cheap gaskets.be carefull not to damage your pickup tube and good luck!
