Hello all,
Just recently bought this Olds from my dad and figured this is the most informative place to be. Plans are to return the the interior to original, fix some paint chips and dings and enjoy it. My past love is building 50's Kustoms, so this is quite a change for me. Enjoy the pictures.

Sweet, sweeet ride. I have to appreciate your dad's taste in cars, and you for seeing the same thing he saw. May you enjoy every day and the memorys left with it form your dad. You will have fun with all of the information you will find on this site.

Very glad to see you here. I like the valve covers as well, and the wheels. I agree that you Dad has good taste. Now, about your experience with 50's customs, might that include a reach back to the late forties? As you can see I have a project that will be giving me lots of fun next spring. We have about four or five more late forties early fifties owners here as well. Have you ever chopped a two door fastback?

Well, quite an interesting job you did there. Is it possible you are a member at HAMB? Your work and obviously interest in 50's customs would fit right in there and your new car would still qualify. They have a limit on age as you may know, none newer than '64.
I am a member, same screen name. I posted my Olds there as well.
Here's a chop I just finished. I took a clapped out 52' Packard 4 door and converted to a 2 door by moving the "B" pillars back and making quarters from remainder of rear door. Stretched front doors to stock 2 door length and chopped the top 6" in front and 9 1/2" in back. Used a 50 Dodge rear window frame. Sold it before done, It's on it's way to Arizona right now.

wow just plain wow........... you did an awesome job!!!
