No way, José.

Cutlass S/VC Frankencruiser.

Looks well done, though (in spite of the lack of a floor where they had trouble reconciling the Cutlass and the VC, and the leaky Vista windows where they couldn't quite get everything fitted right).

I'd drive it, but I wouldn't pay $2,500 for it in that condition.

Wow this is back again? Last time I saw it it was black, and they wanted something like 9K for it. Don't remember if it was in Daytona or not.

And besides, the engine mounts are shot....

That kind of body work takes a lot of fabrication. Someone with a flare for owing a unique 1 of 0 will likely be able to finish if off. Take that how you want.

I am not sure how I feel about it. I will admit that it is clever though. I wonder if something like this would have sold back in 1970? Probably not...but the more I look at it it is an interesting concept. An Olds hatchback...

Not sure if it is the same car, but look at the back side window. I believe what they did was splice the Vista roof, back windows and tail gate onto a Cutlass Supreme. That's what was done on the black car too. If it were close enough I'd look it over. If he did the body work well then the hard part would be done. I say IF he did the body work well

I've parked my 1971 Cutlass wagon and 1970 442 side by side. Both front and rear bumpers almost line up. It would still be a lot of work but I was suprised that the flat top wagon wasn't noticably longer.

edit: I just looked at it again and see the far back seat in it. That's why you guys commented on the floor pan. I'm pretty sure the black one from a few years ago didn't have the far back seat, but only the middle or second seat.

Well... the pictures are gone but here's an old thread discussing other 2 door Vista's that people had seen.

This is insane,,,I just saw that car in black yesterday while I was bored looking at Google images for Vista Cruiser,,now it's here,,,He's right!!,,,same seat rips,,Has anyone seen the photos of that gold colored Vista Cruiser that was transformed into a 2 door? By the way,,The Vista Cruiser had a wheelbase of 121 inches,,exclusive to the Vista Cruiser.

Okay,,here's what I see,,,,,I see a Cutlass Supreme quarter glass window,,and Cutlass S / Vista Cruiser quarter panel body line,,,I think they used a Supreme car,,,changed the quarter panel skin with either a Cutlass S,,or Vista Cruiser,,Oh my God,,it wasn't built by the factory,,that much I know,,too bad everyone who worked at Oldsmobile is dead,,,we've all seen these pictures of this car,you would think that if we've seen them,,,someone who used to work at the Oldsmobile assembly plant would have also seen them,,right?,,after all,,if we're this intrigued by this car,,, a former employee of Oldsmobile would be too,,and would step up and say something!!

2blu442,,,Why would someone cut the roof off of an otherwise rust free '68 442?,,we can see the cowl, rocker panels and quarter panels are rust free,,and with the original 400 engine,,,,it should have never been in the junk yard to begin with,,,,
