442 hood louvers 1967 ?
Did 66 have them too ? anyway how wide are those louvers ?
has anyone duplicated them in a non 442 hood ? I am thinking about doing those louvers in my 65 hood . Non #'s matching non 442 car so why not have some fun . No Chevy cowl hood for me ! |

67 had louvers...66 did not on the 442....they are only show and are not open to anything under the hood...a lot of streetrodders have louvered their hoods trunk lids etc... I would assume there is a special tool to do it with. A 67 hood would probably fit on a 66. Am not sure if the latches are the same though.

Yes, you can use a 67 hood on a 66, but you must use a 67 core support and fender extensions, 67 bumper, grill, etc. With the diminishing supply of 67 hoods, a friend and I considered making louvers that could be installed in good cutlass hoods, but no louver maker that I contacted had a wide enough die, 67 louvers are approximately 7 inches wide with 2 rows of 12.
