Welders? Tig ? Mig? Spot ?
I need a welder to do the following.
Tac weld floor pans ? Fix cracks in chassis? Weld bracket to chassis? Fix rust out area on sheet metal? any input as to what you are using would be great. If anybody has used ones for sale also.

A MIG is what you are looking for. For the chassis work you'll be better off with a 220 Volt unit vs. a 110 Volt. But if you've got cracks in the chassis and you were posting about a rotisserie, you should consider replacing the frame.
A TIG would do the work, but it would take a long time to get good at welding with the TIG. The learning curve is a lot quicker with the MIG. Plus a TIG is about $2000 w/o gas bottle. I think I gave about $750 for my 220v MIG including the bottle. If you're not going to do much welding on the chassis a 110v will do everything else you listed. But make sure you get a MIG w/ gas, not a flux core, gas less version. A spot welder just clamps and welds two pieces of sheet metal together on the edge. You can do a similar 'pocket weld' with the MIG. Drill a small hole in one piece, clamp the two pieces together then fill the hole with weld. Hope this helps, Don |

I suggest a mig as well...easy to learn on but recommend shielding gas setup with it as opposed to flux core welding wire. I have used the Lincoln weld-pac for everything on my car with no problems 110 volt.
