Need to find... 67' 442 Painted By Sonny Croughn in Berkeley Heights New Jersey
I am looking for a car that used to be owned by my mother from new back in 1967. She owned the car for a couple years, in that time, it was lowered, and was painted by Sonny Croughn. The car was pearl white with a geometric design down the side of it. It was showed all over the eastern US along with some other cars painted by Sonny. It was at shows in New York City, Washington DC along with others around 1967 and 1968.
I heard from one of my relatives who recently went back to New Jersey saying that she saw the car in some guys garage in Berkeley Heights still. I believe it may be the same guy who bought the car off of my mother.
Any information leading to finding this car would be great. Pictures would be awesome as well.
If I can find the car, I would be very interested in buying it from the current owner.
Thanks!!!

Sonny Crough's Artistry-
Oh man this thread is so old, you're likely long gone but I couldn't resist commenting back. And wondering if you ever found that collector's piece.
I knew Sonny circa 1963-65. He lived around the corner from me and my best bud, Tommy. We were 14/15 yrs old. and man he was the coolest cat around. I think then Sonny was maybe 20. You would not belieive the rods that came in and out of there (lived at his parents house in Madison and worked out of a small garage at the house. Sonny was driving a white. '63 Plymouth, a 'sleeper' - 426/425 hsp., 4 spd Hurst Hemi. Every once in awhile we'd catch him when he would leave hs house and turn up on our street, Greenwood Avenue and light it up! His brother Wayne had a beautiful '55 Ford Fairlane Convertible, white top, red rolled and pleated interior with a Fox on the floor. Beautiful rod!. Sonny also had a white-on-white '49 Ford convertible that as I recall had blue rolled and pleated interior. His 'project' was a '53 Ford pickup customized and eventually headed to the NY Collasium Custom Car and Truck show. I 'think' he placed or took top honors 1st, 2nd or 3rd place. Even back then, Sonny was well known and widely recognized as an artist- and a little crazy too. :->
Did you ever locate that car?
