rims and trans
I have a '69 442 that I am restificating. I have a couple of questions, and am looking for advice from those who have been where I am going.
First: I would like to use a Super Stock II style wheel on the car, but would also like to be able to run a larger tire than is allowed by the 15" SSII. What suggestions would anyone have for finding a larger/wider SSII style wheel? Second: I am looking to swap my stock automatic trans for a five speed. I'm looking at the kit offered by Kessler Engineering that used a Tremac five speed. Has anyone used this product? If so, were you pleased with the results? How hard was to install yourself? Did the kit include absolutley everything you needed to install the trans with minimal difficulty? Thanks |

Several years ago I had some wheels widened at Willamette Wheel in Portland Oregon. They cut the centers out of a pair of 14X6 wheels and welded them into 15X10 blanks. They came out looking nice! John
