Replacing Hard linkage
Greeting all 442 friends,
Im looking for some links and advice on replacing the stock hard throttle linkage on 66 -442 to a cable system. I was given some advice from Summit and they told me to use pn SRK-4000 (cable) and TC1000HT (bracket assembly). Looking at the parts from face value it doesnt look as though that is all I will need to do a direct replacement. Any thoughts on this? Your help is greatly appreciated! Best regards, Tom ![]() |

hard linkage
I would try to find a newer 70s GM A-body car with a cable throttle as a donor for yours. You should be able to use the gas pedal, cable, and carb bracket without much difficulty.
