442 don't know what to do

Hiya, I'm getting ready to take possession of a 1972 Olds 442. I found it down south covered up in a guys barn (for real) and I don't really know what it's worth. Here's what I know about the vehicle:

1972 Olds 442: Female second owner, had the car since 1972 when the original owner passed away after putting 2500 miles or so on the car (Some original docs included)

Original 455 w/200,000 miles. Serviced by the local dealer ONLY (paperwork included) This thing runs like a raped ape. No smoke no miss no hiss.

Red paint (repainted years ago) that looks faded but no sign of cracks. There are a few pinhole size rust spots on the body.

White, very clean, interior

His/Hers shifter

Ram air package

Original rims

Factory A/C

So, if someone could help me get in the ballpark with a price or two it would be much apprciated.

How about an online appraisal service another user may have contracted?

Online appraisal? Not sure if that is what it sounds like, but it's one thing to pay a guy you don't know to look at your car and put a value on it...it's another thing to pay a guy you don't know to look at PICTURES of your car and put a value on it.

Let me put you onto the Oldsmobile Club of America chapters in your area:

Motor City Rockets
28954 Glenarden St.
Farmington Hills, MI 48334
email: 79starfire@sbcglobal.net

R.E. Olds Chapter
PO Box 80101
Lansing, MI 48909-0101
email: ckm@tir.com

Contact them and see if they know a good appraiser in your area.

Maybe watch eBay and see what they're going for?

Try going to NADA under under the collector car section or you can get a book from Hemmings that is real good you just have to chose the condition of the car Larry
