68 power antenna location

Can someone tell me where the correct location on the right rear quarter the power antenna is located? The manual shows it there, but not the demensions of the location.

This was posted a while ago on ROP. The measurements are given for a convertible

So, I'm looking at my '68 PIM/Assembly Manual, Section 1-4, page 325, and I see the diagram on where the power antenna is mounted for a '68 "A" body car. They talk about the two dimples in the trunk floor on the passenger rear side. They say to mount the power antenna base using the inboard dimple for sedans, and to use the outboard dimple for convertibles and coupes. SO, I looked in the trunk of my '68 442 convertible (it just has the regular antenna on the fender) to see if I could find the dimples. I searched and searched - nothing that I could see resembled anything like a dimple. But my '68 trunk has been restored so, maybe, I thought, the dimples got covered. SO, I looked at my '69 PIM and it says the same thing - it's even the same page. Great, I thought. I'll go look in my '69 trunk because it has never been restored - it's as original as it came out of Fremont. I looked and looked - if dimples are there, they must be incredibly small! I ran my fingers over the area in question just to see if I could feel any kind of indentation....................... ...............nothing. Either I'm losing my sight or sense of feeling, or those darn dimples are so insignificant as to not be there at all. Hope someone has some good measurements for you - I'll eventually need them, too, for my '69!

Is it convertible or hardtop? The location is different. If it's a convertible use the location in the ROP thread not the hardtop location above

I have a convertible and I will use the measurements from ROP thread, but the pictures put it into perspective.

The convert antenna mount is not anything similar to a hard top and the base chrome piece of course is different also and the underside of the fender piece part number too... as for the dimples on the floor, they must be the optional microscopic ones
