1966 442 value

hello there i was just wondering if you guys could give me a ballpark figure of value for a 66 or 67 442 two door hard top. No motor or trans, very straight body with only a couple of dents and no apparent rust. just looking for a ball park figure to get an ideal what it would be worth. Thanks a lot guys for any help.

Welcome!

Without knowing anything more, I'd say $500-$5,000. But it could be more, and could be less.
Realistic "values" are hard enough to come up with even with specific information, and virtually impossible without specifics.

Are you buying or selling? - if you are selling, I might be interested in a 66!

Im into ford pickups so dont know much about it.

Post up some pictures of what he has - solid body old cars are always a good find even if they don't have engines and/or interior - if you part them out, you stand to make even more $$$!!!

well most of the stuff is old stock car remains so nothing real useable. just two old ford pickups, the 442, and an old sprint car that i can imagine be able to do anything with. so are the 442s worth more or less than other muscle cars of the era?

From what little I've seen in the various books that put a $ tag on cars from that era. The 442's seem to be valued lower than most others.
Where are you located and some pics would be a big help here. I might be interested in the 442 (if it is one) as well.

2,000.00 would seem to be a fair price for a buildable project car less engine and trans.

I would think the shell would have to be pretty solid with a title for it to be worth that, but it's hard to say without seeing the car. That said I might know someone who would want to look at it as well, depending on the condition and desired $$$.

'66 442's have unique fenders, grille, tail light assemblies and trunk lid molding. If those parts are decent it makes a 2K value easy to justify.

Absolutely. But being one of "a bunch of cars sitting in a field", I doubt they are in decent shape if there at all.
Certainly would be interesting to check out.
