AC on w-30

Was ac an option on 70-72 w-30 cars with both auto and 4spd trans? I know power brakes were not available due to lack of vacuum in 4spd w-30 in 70, was that the same for automatic cars 70-72?

For the 1970-72 model years, A/C was only available with the automatic. The dirty little secret from those years is that only the manual trans W-30s got the 328 degree cam. Automatic cars got a milder cam (and even the 71/72 manual trans W-30s used the non-O.A.I. cam, not the 328 deg cam). How these automatic trans W-30s were able to generate the same 370 HP as the manual trans cars with this different cam is a mystery of modern marketing.

I have always heard most ot these cars had actual horsepower greater than the advertised horsepower. Maybe one was just higher above the advertised 370 than the other. Only the Shadow knows.

in 1972 there was no W-30 cars with A/C. it could not be ordered in any way. and all W-30s in 72 had an X in the VIN.

for the power brakes, i know that you can get them on automatic cars but don't know about 4 speeds. i do know that W-31 4 speed or automatic cars did not have power brakes.
