'70-'72 side stripes (not W-30)

What is the correct configuration for the side stripes on a '70 to '72 442 (not a W-30)?

I always thought it was 2 stripes - one slightly thicker than the other. But recently I've seen 2 cars that had 3 stripes - 2 thin stripes surrounding a slightly wider one in the middle.

Which is correct?

A link to an original dealer ad or something would be perfect.

Thanks,

rohebo

they are different.

70 had the twin side stripe..thinner one on top of the slightly thicker one.

71 (and maybe 72) had a triple side stripe...thin, thicker, thin

Does anyone sell a stencil for the 72 442 side stripes? Has anyone had success recreating them?

My442 - yes, that's the stripe I"m looking for. In fact, my Olds is the same color as yours...is that sequoia green? What color interior? Mine is green with black interior and I couldn't figure out what color the stripe would have been. Black if probably too dark. So, I'm thinking white may have been correct. I have the build sheet but I don't think it states what color the stripes were. do you have the hood stripes also?
