Disc Brake Conversion

I upgraded to chevelle pfdb's on my '68 442 post.
There is a disk brake "HOLD OFF" valve on ebay that says it is for pdb's. Should this valve be incorporated into my brake systrm???

Thanks, Bud

It depends. Disc brakes require a proportioning valve (which is what this "hold off valve" is). There are two different configurations and either one works. The 67-70 factory disc brake cars used the proportioning valve in the picture with the normal drum brake style distribution block on the frame. The 71-up cars combined the proportioning valve and distribution block into a single combination valve to save cost. This combination valve replaces the drum brake distribution block on the frame. Did you use one of those? If not, then you do need the valve in the link.
