Absolutely. The only difference (I found this out on this forum) is that the fenders from 1971 and 1972 are actually safer than a 1970 because they're designed to buckle in a collision.

You can get new repros or shop the web for OEM used. Repros sometimes take a little tweaking to fit properly, but they're close. OEM that's been on a car for awhile will have to be carefully cleaned of any rust. If you've got a Cutlass you know where the classic rust spots are. I bought new GM back in 1986 when I did my restoration, but the price was only about 220 a fender. Good luck getting that now.

There are companies offering fibreglass panels for Cutlass, but I don't know how good their product is or how you would attach them to the car.

If you choose OEM with some rust, one of the guys here gave me a great tip. You can coat those inside panels with POR15. POR claims you should never have rust in that location from that source again. Check out their website for more details.

Enjoy your car. It's a great ride.

There is a noticeable difference due to the buckle zone mentioned in the previous post. The innner lip on a 70 fender is smooth whereas the inner lip on a 71 - 72 fender has bumps every couple inches (only noticable with the hood up). There is no difference other than this to my knowledge.
