FS: 1969 455 Delta 88 Convertible in great condition -NW GA
This is the family 1969 Oldsmobile. We've had it since the 80s and it has basically sat except for the monthly crank and move. I'd been storing it at my father-in-law's garage (his ex-car) and he just bought a new G6 Convertible and asked me to get it out for space purposes, so time to let her go.
Info: 1969 Delta 88 Convertible w/ 92k actual miles. It is a VIN & ID matching car/motor/trans/etc. All has been flushed and cleaned. Trans is perfect (per Aamco), rear is fine, engine is strong (365HP 455 V8). It has factory Air Conditioning (needs charging), power brakes, power steering, and power top, and runs and shifts smoothly.
This month I addressed the broken exhaust manifold. I found a company in PA (with some good help from here) that owns the original GM casts and I bought brand new # correct GM exhaust manifolds, and had all new true dual exhaust put on it. It was $1400 well spent.
The car was taken out of storage in 2001 and totally freshened/tuned-up -new master cylinder, new brakes, plugs, wires, fluids, hoses, carb rebuild, filters, etc. It was driven somewhat regularly to keep things lubed. I got it out in June of this year and have been driving it a little, going back through everything, and working on the exhaust. I don't believe it leaks anything. The engine is strong enough to propel this big car enthusiastically. The exhaust sounds low, deep, and mellow like a big block cruiser should. The top still works great, and is in really good condition considering. The car is solid. No rust anywhere except I notice a few new places on the lower bumper that are new in the last couple of year. Trunk is clean as new. Car has, without fail, been under cover since owned (in our 20+ years and former owner claims as well). There's a missing lower bumper parking light lense, and the lower portion of the passenger door panel is missing. The interior overall is great. Seats and panels are white and look awesome for age –no rips, etc. Carpet is black and great as well. Clock does not work, and fuel gauge jumps around at times. But...you can get in the car and go anywhere you want w/o worry.
NADA Classic Car Value Guide says high $24k, low $7k and this ain't either of those categories. I'm going to say $12,000 o/b/o if interested we'll talk. 678-986-0315 or reply to post/PM
