I agree with all of the above^^^^^ Heads bored? Ported, maybe. First thing to establish is the compression ratio. That will dictate the cam choice, then in turn intake and carb choice. IMO, Olds engines like big carbs. Also, what gears and tranny do you have? What year and make car is it? Lots of variables, all of which are cotributing factors. The components need to be well matched and work together. Generally speaking, a set of gears can make the biggest increase in seat-of-the-pants fun, bang for the buck wise.
