The seat bottom is retained by two brackets in the floor pan, Pushing backward the seat bottom at floor level will flex it out of the brackets and you can then lift the front of the seat and slide it out. In 66, the top part hangs on two hooks near the top and two steel straps welded to the floor pan are folded over corresponding frame pieces of the seat to hold it at the bottom. After removing the seat bottom, bend these straps so you can pull the lower part of the seat back forward, then lift to get it off the two hooks.
