I have a 70 olds cutlass sx and I want to upgrade my rearend! Does anybody know where I could take or purchase parts for my 12 bolt o type open 2.56! I want a posi with 3.23 or 3.42s. I live in San Jose California! Does anybody know of any shops in northern california that can do some work or that sell the 0 type rear upgraded.

Rear End change

I just purchased an 'O' 3:42 Posi from someone in Pennsylvania for my 67. It came as described and at agreed price. I think it was a good buy. I am asking him if I pass his name on. Are you interested in this.

check out Reider Racing.
They sell the only upgrade to the 'O' type rear I know...
someone correct me if there's others.

It's a great piece that will handle close to 500hp,
but it is a little noisy.

Posi Rear End

Supercars Unlimited in Portland Oregon has new posi carriers for the 12 bolt O axle. The link is: http://supercarsunlimited.com/Items.cfm?CategoryID=276
They also have new 3.42 and 3.90 gears for the O axle. I think you would need to know if your rear end has the 28 or 31 spline axles. I know both were used in the O rear ends, but don't know if Supercars has both or just the 31 spline carriers.

Brain did my 12 bolt in my F85, he's a good guy and very easy to deal with. He ships and is very reasonable on $$. JKaz
