Stuck proportioning valve

When I bled my brakes, the proportioning valve button that is supposed to be depressed while bleeding was stuck in that position. Is there a way to make it pop out again? ( preferably while still mounted and the brake lines connected to it)

The button hardly moves. If you are able to bleed the brakes and they work correctly, you don't have a problem.

Thanks Joe, I just thought that the button should depress enough that you would notice it, as the GM repair manual refers to a special GM tool (J- something or other) that you use to hold the button in while bleeding. I started the engine today and the pedal feels "normal" as far as I can tell. The real test is on the road. Just how much is "hardly at all"? Thanks....Chumley
