A lot of Questions with many different parts

I have many different parts i can use, if the 58? Olds motor in my 50 runs that would be my choice the problem.

The is no trans. or driveshaft

1st - have a driveshaft that fits a 55 Chevy using a TH 400 pro built.

2nd - a 500 cu Caddy & rwd trans TH 400 i think?

3rd - my 50 Olds which is being picked up in 1st of Feb, he thinks the motor is from a 58 Olds

4th - a guy in town had a 50's Hydro out of a Caddy with 50,000 miles if it's still available

5th - I have the 66 Caddy 429 & auto thats runs and moves

What i would like to do is get it drivable and start working on it, i'd like to use the parts i have if they work together. Thanks for any info

Find out what you have, before you start asking questions.

1st - When you have the car, put it into place and see if it fits. If it doesn't, note what needs to be done to make it fit.

2nd - Find out what you have, before you start asking questions.

3rd - How many times do you need to repeat this?

4th - Which part? If it is a '56, is it a real Hydro or a Jetaway?

5th - Congratulations.

Or vice-versa?

No matter which components you chose, there will be fabrication involved.

If you spam an ebay auction that I'm bidding on, into a public forum, I will not be happy.

Work has arrived

Well the 50 Olds coupe finally came today, completing it's 1,700 mile ebay journey.

The motor in the car i think is a 371 has Gold valve covers plain with the vertical embossed line across, near the ends & a 4 barrel manifold

> after further review, the ruling has been over turned.

With more light on the covers, it was just surface rust.

The covers are Green, no boss by the left center exhaust manifold. a screened breather on top, on the right side of the water pump. The top of the motor needs clean up etc. to identify anything.

Now to find out is the motor turns freely. Metal work time and money. Hunting down some parts, and hope to have it driving
