68 442 hood question

I had a quick question for you guys. I was looking at some picts of a 69 442, and I noticed that the hood looked like it opened a lot higher than my 68. I've only got to see my car a couple times (im in germany and the car is stored in ohio) and I kept hitting my head on the hood. It didn't seem to open very high, but I was told that was normal. Maybe it just seems low to me?? I dunno hehe any info would be appreciated

Unfortunately it is normal. A real head banger. It's a 68 only problem corrected in 69.

Hoods

Maybe corrected in 1969... but then someone in design hicuped in 1970 The piece between the grills stays on the hood and I've lost several patches of my scalp on that hood tooth!

They also put that hood tooth on the Delta 88 in 1969, maybe other years too. Gawd that hurts when you catch you head on it!
