The server used by Admin to keep this site going got a virus and crashed. Afterwards the photo album could not be rebuilt and the files were lost. Admin said a new on is in the works but......

Yeah, I was driving that one with the top down in the snow, because it was so ratty it would hit you in the face. This cop saw me driving in the snow and did a double take and then a 180 to pull me over to see what the hell was wrong with me.

Then when he finally caught up to me at a red light, the points backfired so friggin loud when I goosed it, he thought I took a shot at him. He flinched and ducked, and we had a good laugh about it.

I picked it up for 400 bucks, pulled the motor and trans, and sold the body to my buddies uncle for 100 bucks.

I want a 75, not a 72. IMO the 75 is a much smoother and balanced looking convertable. Especially with the grille splitting twice. and the 1 piece taillights.

J, you'd need to drag a looong trailer behind that thing. On the trailer would be the fiberglass top. No freak'n way anyone could build a convertible frame for that thing.

Or stay within 5 miles of your super long garage.

I'd put a tow bar on the back of that 72 olds stretch, and drag this one behind it.

I wonder how much torque it would take to pop that one up onto the wheelie bars.

I'll have to snap a few pictures of the various oldsmobiles that belong to the various family members here. I have the 63 Ninety Eight convertible, In the garage is a CLEAN 79 Cutlass that I want bad but it has "strings" attached... Wife's Uncle claims ownership but mother in law has her name on the title, long story there.... speaking of said uncle, he drives a 80's Olds wagon, old family friend drives a very clean early 80's Delta 88.. There are a lot of other old heaps here and on other properties of various makes, it's like an old car retirement home.

Ohhhhh my god....I'd give everything I legally owned and a bunch of stuff I'd have to steal to have a car that pretty.

For now it's just the really dirty Cutlass big block project sitting on the side of my house =(

I'd also just like to mention that the side of my house used to be referred to by the community as "The Oldsmobile Graveyard", as there was always at least two Oldsmobiles in varying states of repair/disrepair sitting there. Heh.

Be careful with that header panel on that 87. For some reason this year they are selling for between 300 and 500 dollars.
I gave one with 3 giant cracks, and 2 busted grilles to one of my buddies to hang up in his garage, and someone offered him 150 bucks for it.
WTF?!?!
Someone is gonna repop these real soon and they'll all be worthless again. silly rabbits.

the reason they're selling for so much (I do believe) is that Oldsmobile changed the header panel design for 1987 Cutlasses, and since it was the last year for that body style and the rear wheel drive platform, they are quite rare. However...I don't recall if that's true or not.

Some hoodrats knocked the side mirror off my $15k Impala, and I was terribly, terribly angry...I saw red for about three days, this happened like two weeks ago.

If they'd have damaged my $280.00 Cutlass instead...there would have been FUNERALS. Funny how I love my Cutlass more. And I've only driven it ONCE, back about 3 years ago when it still kinda ran with the turd 307 in it..my car wouldn't start that morning, had to get to work. Then the cutlass died when i pulled into my parking spot at work...she fired right up and took me home after work. Hah!

Luckily, they were caught and their mommies and daddies are buying me a new mirror.

I guess I have to post mine

These are the newest pics, but the Delta just got white lettered BFG's up front and the Goodyear ST turned around to bring out those whites. No pics of that yet

Plus a couple of pics with me at a local Olds show, and one of both parked after being washed

Is that dual snorkel air cleaner housing stock? Pretty cool, why just a cool air hose on the driver's side?

Overall the housing is stock, I did the second snorkel mod myself. No air hose to it because of two things, Main one is it's just a bit tight with the a/c lines, second, I've tied the vacuum diaphram on that side into the vacuum control for the secondaries. When crusin normal, it draws from the factory side as normal, but when I nail the throttle, the second snorkel opens up with the 4bbls. A little electric by-pass switch also shuts off the a/c compressor, if it's on. The extra air supply proved awesome, and still keeps a stock appearance. Works for me.

Good work, I thought it might be stock at first glance.
