Before anyone buys from him they should look at this link first.
http://72.22.90.30/phpBB2/viewtopic....674&highlight=
I have never dealt with him before and have heard both good and bad things about him. Im just giving this info out because if I was buying a car from him I would want to see that thread first.

That's fine, but what if it's just sour grapes? Isn't that a bit unfair to him?

Yes it is unfair to him but if you read the whole thread. Andy said that he contacted the guy so he can tell his story and he responded with "who cares about those losers". Now I dont know if Andy was messing around or not sometimes its hard to tell, but if he really did say that then he deserves to have that posted up.

Like I said before I never dealt with this person. He could be the nicest guy in the world for all I know. I just posted that because if I was to buy a car from him I would want to know that information and Im sure others would like to know that to.

I understand where you're coming from, but if the allegations are false, it serves no purpose other than to hurt.

It's like a W-30 that is real but some know-it-all arrives at a conclusion it's a fake. Then, through word-of-mouth, other people start saying they heard it was a fake. Then what happens? The value of the car goes down for no good reason other than people being stupid.

It is true that unless someone has done business with the guy and got the shaft (inside joke), their opinion may not be based in fact. Problem is I have seen a number of complaints from people who claim to have bad dealings with him. He said, she said.

I'm not into the 68-72 stuff, so its no big deal to me. I would say however that there is a bad trend in his Ebay feedback where the winning bidders complain that he refused to sell the item for the high bid and held out for more money. Also, I don't consider 97% to be a great feedback rating when you have over 250 transactions (to say nothing of all the neutrals). It means that it wasn't just the inevitable one or two SOBs that couldn't be satisfied.

Buyer beware. Doesn't matter who, where, when, or what.
Don't buy a car you haven't seen.
Don't pay cash before you have title in hand.
Before the internet, no one would think of breaking these rules.
With the internet, people do. Why?

I reported him to Ebay yesterday, and the ad is still there. So I take it their legal department decided it wasn't specific enough about selling the VIN tag.
Maybe federal authorities would see that different.
Whether he gets away with it or not, it doesn't change his character. Or reputation.

The odd thing about this seller is,two of his defenders here are two of the guys against clones/recreations/fakes etc. I guess if they are fans of the Ebbs fan club,it's ok for him to sell vin & cowl tags. In fact,Diego is dead set against re-bodying a car which is an accepted practice.

I was able to obtain the VIN number. I will keep it for future reference and also forward it to the H/O club for when it comes back as a whole car. I like to help karma

Another John from Suncook,NH sold a 63 Starfire with a bad motor (cracked piston skits) and a leaking gas tank for almost 10 grand, back in Jan 22/23 of 2009.
I heard when the new owner got the Starfire, it had to be whinched off the truck.

i deal in facts.

unlike you,who tries not once, but twice to sell a car they don't own without the owner's permission, then tell another lie, saying the title is in your name.

that's what a real scumbag does.

Really ? Facts ? Those are some serious accusations you're making. Coming from someone who I've never dealt with personally and has a history of making slanduris remarks about people on many different forums. Not to mention all the dumb shyt that everone knows you have done including some you even bragged about. And you of all people have the odasity to call someone else a scumbag. I wonder what all those people you sold those junk mortgages to would call you ?
