1973 Hurst/Olds Resto....

3 years into Rusty's restoration. Thought I would share. Far from done, a hell of a lot of work for someone who has very little knowledge of cars.. "Me"
This is what I started with.

Looking good. There are not a lot of these cars left do to the severe rusting of the bodys. My 73 442 was still pretty solid when I got it.

Looking great! As Steve says, I don't think there are a lot of the '73-'77 vintages left!

Actually next to a barn a 1/2 mile from the Delaware River! Its not that bad of a car, it looks worse then it was.
Thanks for all the encouraging words guys! I have been a little stuck lately trying to get the frame back under the car.....Over whelmed!
Steve , I have been a big fan of your work on your 73 car for a long time.
Some great people on this site!

I agree unless '73 used the darker blue. The lighter silver/aqua more closely resembles my original block.

I guess I should have removed it from the shadow in the garage and used a real camera instead of my phone. It is not as light as the color it was first painted and not as dark as it appears in the last 4 pictures. I'll try and take some better pictures....... Thanks!

WOW! I love it! The 73 is also one of my favorites. There was one of those parked next to my Olds when i dug it out of the boneyard but a guy eventually bought it.
