3 years into Rusty's restoration. Thought I would share. Far from done, a hell of a lot of work for someone who has very little knowledge of cars.. "Me"
This is what I started with.

 

A slow start..........

 

WHat seems like a million peices......

 

Frame sand blasted and rear.....

 

Rear painted and frame twice...........

 

Reassembly this Summer. Now a rolling frame....

 

A few items restored on interior now. Seats sat in sun after this pictures and tightened up real nice now....
Soon some pics of the body....

Looking good. There are not a lot of these cars left do to the severe rusting of the bodys. My 73 442 was still pretty solid when I got it.

Looking great! As Steve says, I don't think there are a lot of the '73-'77 vintages left!

 

Nice work so far....where did you find that thing, the Hudson River!!

 

Actually next to a barn a 1/2 mile from the Delaware River! Its not that bad of a car, it looks worse then it was.

Over a year later.......Finally got the body back on the frame....

 

Then we painted and started to detail the firewall.......
The never ending saga of Rusty ....Will it ever see the road again....

 

It's coming out great Joe! (it looked so rough to begin with). Nice work. Keep the pics coming.

Thanks! Just installed SS brake lines and Parking brake cables from Inline Tube yesterday..... Sterring column is in too, so as soon as I can get rid of all this dam snow I can work on the front support.... Paint and motor to go....

Engine has been completed. Wrong shade of Olds Blue but I repainted it... Should have the Carb ,Vacume lines and the exhaust manifold bolted up and all the misc this weekend...

 

Looking real good. Keep up the good work!!!

 

Edging closer to a ride this summer....

 

To the best of my knowlege that is the correct 455 blue the darker blue is wrong.

 

there is no way someone could have a better car like yours out there. you are doing an awesome job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I agree unless '73 used the darker blue. The lighter silver/aqua more closely resembles my original block.

Thanks for the kind words! I appreciate it and need to be motivated so I can drive this car soon!

I guess I should have removed it from the shadow in the garage and used a real camera instead of my phone. It is not as light as the color it was first painted and not as dark as it appears in the last 4 pictures. I'll try and take some better pictures....... Thanks!

I promised a before and after. Decided to leave the plain tired on for it.
Also a picture of it with the BFG's at the last local show of the season.

Well, you must have learned a hell of a lot, because it looks great. Beautiful work.

 

WOW! I love it! The 73 is also one of my favorites. There was one of those parked next to my Olds when i dug it out of the boneyard but a guy eventually bought it.
