1956 rocker circle $4.99 + shipping
I think these actually came out in 56. They were given out by dealers to supposedly their best customers. They are pretty cool. I put one in my friends 54. They must have not done a very good job of giving them out because I have seen them for sale pretty often hialeah56 has a good price on them.

I'd love to have one of those if you have any of them left. Please get back to me a BradHoke@cfl.rr.com. Thanks. BHH
First off, yes that's where it's supposed to be mounted. In the box is an extra-long attaching screw which replaces the middle screw in the windshield garnish molding. There is a separate oval-shaped piece which pastes on over the hole. The owner's initials were to be stuck in the center of the oval. The number of new Oldses the buyer had purchased was pasted in the black area at the bottom of the driver's side.
The Rocket Circle Program began for 1956. Oldsmobile selling dealers were supposed to register new 1956 Olds buyers in the program. The customer would then get three things, 1) the Rocket Circle fixture for the dash, 2) a subscription to the bi-monthly "Oldsmobile Rocket Circle" magazine (first issue January-February, 1956), and 3) an ID card which had his name, the number of new Oldsmobiles the '56 represented, and the name of the selling dealer pre-printed on the front along with the buyer's signature, and spaces for entering descriptive information about that specific car on the back.
To the best of my knowledge, the last year for the program was 1962.
